SO, this is my first blogpost and i’m incredibly lucky to be writing about such an amazing experience. As many of you know, or don’t know, I am currently in London and I will try as best as I can to share adventures with you. My goal of the day was to take in the Tate Modern Museum and all it has to offer. To preface the trip I have to say that I bought a week pass oyster card for the Tube and find the subway system to be easy to navigate and incredibly convenient.

Thought I’d get you all in the mood for Oscar parties 2011 !

While we are glad to see that monocle’s are getting more love these days, We along with dear KK kindaaa jump started this trend.  Starting in October 2010, Stella and Bow came out with three different styles of monocles: Gold with double chain (gold and vintage brass), gold with single gold chain, and silver with single silver chain.

Fortunately for YOU, our monocles double as necklaces, in addition to fully functioning monocles.  (Yes, oddly enough, we have seen people selling lens testers as monocles)

We have sold out 4 or 5 times, due to women in their early to mid 40s who are having a bit of trouble reading menus at dinner (or other places where they need to see up close) and simply due to mother nature can’t… and want to look chic while doing so.

I also happen to own a silver monocle from Hermes, and one from Chanel, but these are not new, and were fashioned after vintage eye pieces.

A TALE OF TWO FASHIONIASTAS

Founded by Lauren Brokaw and Lindsey Lerman, both born and bred in Beverly Hills, Lauren and Lindsey met through mutual friends in their 20’s even though they had both gone to nearby elementary schools and Beverly Hills High School.

Lindsey approached Lauren with the idea to make a jewelry line that would be like raiding your grandmother’s jewelry box but with a modern, chic twist.  Both girls discovered they shared creative skills, a passion for fashion, and a desire to express their individual talents.
